Petrofac has been awarded an operations contract by Turkmengas for activities at the Galkynysh Gas Field in Turkmenistan. Valued at over $200 million, the contract spans approximately three years. Under this agreement, Petrofac will supply personnel to oversee and support operational and maintenance tasks, provide technical assistance, and offer procurement services. Additionally, the company will develop and implement management systems to enhance operational efficiency at the Galkynysh Gas Field Central Processing Facilities 1 and 1A.

The completion of the Galkynysh Gas Field project, undertaken for the state-owned Turkmengas, marked a significant milestone for Petrofac’s Engineering & Construction division. Initiated in 2009 and concluded in 2013, this project stands out as one of the largest engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPC) endeavors executed by Petrofac.
